Gregory Elgee traveled to Japan in 2020 for a month long ski trip right as the first word of Covid-19 was beginning to spread it's way through Asia. During down time in Tokyo. he collaborated with some very creative people. This shoot was organized by one of them - Japanese producer Mutz Ishizawa (@capturetokyo). Jigokudani Snow Monkey Preserve

Jigokudani, Japan sits at 850 meters above sea level. It is the only place on earth where monkeys are known to bath in hot springs. Made famous by National Geographic, this place resides in the valley of the Yokoyu River in the Joshinetsu-Kogen National Park. This film is the result of three motion activated trail cameras, a cinema drone, and a Canon R5. Footage captured in the Gifford Pinchot and Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forests of Washington state.
