Provider and Parent Experiences
Over half of Washington State residents live in a child care desert. Child care has a $1.7 billion dollar impact on Washington’s economy and can be the single biggest monthly expense for some families. It exceeds the average cost of in-state college tuition in more than half of states in the U.S.
The Imagine Institute was founded by a group of family child care providers in partnership with their union, SEIU 925. Together they hoped to build an organization for early learning professionals, by early learning professionals.
Gregory Elgee of G.E. Multi, was tasked with producing and editing 37 minutes worth of social content. This included both long and short form videos for Youtube, Facebook and Instagram. All were done in collaboration with a translator. Below are a few examples which highlight the positive experiences providers have had while training with the Imagine Institute.
